Dental Implants

Dental Implants (Implantology)

Implants are an alternative to fixed bridgework. For this procedure, titanium posts are surgically placed in the jawbone to fill unsightly spaces. After an interval during which the jawbone is allowed to attach to the post naturally (a process called osseointegration), a porcelain crown is placed on each implant, thus restoring full dentition without the necessity of anchoring to adjacent teeth. Implants are an excellent and safe alternative to conventional bridgework and dentures.
